Current projects and plans

I am currently writing my debut crime novel. The first draft of this is now complete and I am re-writing it, and will shortly be pitching it to agents and publishers. It is an edgy, contemporary, thought-provoking psychological thriller with plenty of suspense, interesting characters and plots and lively dialogue. This novel is the first of what I hope is going to be a successful series. It is also has a great visual element, and would make an exciting film.

I am also researching - and have started to write - the script for a television drama, also a psychological thriller. This captures the zeitgeist. I have also written 60,000 words of another crime / psychological thriller novel (this was the first one I wrote and did it whilst I was teaching) which I plan to return to and complete. However, both this project and the screenplay for TV are on hold at the moment whilst I complete my debut crime novel, as I want to focus all my creative energies on getting that finished and published.

Whilst I work on the larger, more long-term projects described above, and whilst I am allowing ideas to germinate, I also write poems, short stories and flash fiction and also opinion pieces. You can read some of these on my various Word Press blogs (see Examples of my Work page).

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who:

- would like to read any of my work

- would like to discuss my ideas with a view to publishing or production

- would like to collaborate on any projects

- is also writing in this genre, and wants to say 'hello'

If any agents or publishers are interested in talking to me, and seeing my work, I would love to hear from you.
